Applies to: All Reolink cameras

To ensure the excellent heat dissipation of the IPC (main heat source), the camera casing is designed to be a heat dissipation area. There's only a thin layer of heat-conduction silica gel between the IPC and the camera casing to ensure minimum thermal resistance, which makes the temperature of the shall very close to that of the IPC.

As IPC is not a hand-held device (such as mobile phone), the surface temperature is considered preferentially. Though the camera casing might be a little hot for your hands to touch after it reaches 50℃, the temperature is still every far below the IPC's limit of the working temperature (85℃).

What tests have been done about the camera temperature?

1) Environment reliability test

High-Temperature Operating Temperature: 50 ± 2℃. Humidity:80%. Time: 24 hrs
Low Temperature Operating Temperature: -10 ± 2℃. Humidity: no setup. Time: 24 hrs
High-Temperature storage High Temperature: 70 ± 2℃. Humidity: 95%. Time: 48 hrs
Low Temperature storage Low Temperature: -40 ± 2℃. Humidity: no setup. Time: 48 hrs

2) Temperature test

Environment temperature: 25℃, with IR LED on, operating 2 hrs;
28℃
Actually, during the daily use, IR LED will be on at night time, but normally temperature is lower than 25℃ during the night time.
